COMITATO TERRITORIALE UISP Ciriè Settimo Chivasso (ITALIA)

The Uisp -Unione Italiana Sport Per Tutti- is a
Sports Promotion Body whose main value is the right to sport to all citizens,
regardless of age, race, sex and motor skills of each individual. With 72
municipalities involved, the Ciriè Settimo Chivasso Committee can currently
count on about 140 affiliated companies covering most of the sports

The Committee’s objective is to promote health,
with projects aimed at both the elderly and young people, often carried out in
synergy with schools. The international projects are the pride of the
Territorial Committee UISP Ciriè Settimo Chivasso, which is committed to spreading
its values of integration and social inclusion beyond national borders. There
are also activities of discipline, such as events of various kinds, tournaments
and championships.

During the Congress of July 13, 2019, the
committee became, as a result of the Reform of the Third Sector, a Social
Promotion Body. It is a great step that classifies society as “activity of
general interest for the pursuit, non-profit, civic, solidarity and social
utility purposes”opening doors to a variety of opportunities that will no
longer only include sporting activities.

 BULGARIAN-AUSTRIAN CULTURAL ASSOCIATION OF GRAZ (AUSTRIA)

The Bulgarian-Austrian Cultural Association of Graz is a non-profit association that promotes cultural cooperation between Bulgaria and Austria through various activities such as classical and modern music concerts, pictorial and photographic performances, book and film presentations.

Every year, on the occasion of different national celebrations, the Association organizes events with traditional music, dancing with typical dances, tasting of typical products and performances for Austrian citizens. The association cooperates in close contact with the local administration of Graz, with schools where Bulgarian immigrants study and other non-profit organizations.

The association is involved in social activities aimed at integrating Bulgarian immigrants into Austria, such as children and young people, preventing negative phenomena such as discrimination, violence and drug use. Cooperation with other European partners feeds the cultural objectives and perspectives of the Association. This adds value and effects of “cross fertilisation” for all partners.

 

 

SPORTS, TOURISM AND ECOLOGICAL PROMOTION
ASSOCIATION (ROMANIA)

The sports, tourism and ecological promotion association (Romania) was founded in 1996 with the aim of promoting respect among young people. Sport and tourism are considered to be primary tools for increasing the education and
responsibility of young people within Romanian democracy. The association has implemented a number of projects at international level aimed at high school students, with the intention of stimulating them to know the world, to explore
and respect nature, to increase the sense of team and to prevent negative phenomena such as drug use, violence and racism.

The association “ecology-sport-tourism” has a valuable experience on the international field with a strong motivation to learn from the experience of other partners to export the activities of the project Aries
in Romania.

 

EUROPEAN STRATEGIES CONSULTING, ROMANIA

European Strategies Consulting (ESC) is an independent consultancy company specialized in European and international public policies in the field of social, legal and educational development, providing concept analysis, project design, reform implementation, monitoring and evaluation (including need & impact assessment, benchmarking and comparative research).

The main focus of the company is criminology and criminal justice, covering issues like prison, probation, electronic monitoring and so on. The main services by our company are: consultancy, evaluation, research and training.

ESC members provided consultancy, research and training in Central and Eastern Europe: Albania (probation), Serbia (probation), Montenegro (probation), Moldova (prison & probation), Georgia (probation) and Romania (prison & probation).They also participated in projects situated in Western Europe (Finland, Germany, France, UK), Africa (Algeria) and Middle East (Jordan).

FUNDACIÓN DIAGRAMA, SPAIN

Fundación Diagrama Intervención Psicosocial is a non-profit organisation that has been assisting vulnerable and socially excluded people since 1991, always ensuring the defence and promotion of Human Rights. Diagrama’s main objective is to promote and develop centres, services, programmes and research aimed at prevention, treatment and integration of people in difficult life situations and at risk of social exclusion, especially children, young people, families, women and dependants.

In order to achieve this objective, Fundación Diagrama employs over 5,000 professionals in Spain, who, along with volunteers and collaborators, form a team of close to 5,400 people who make providing this service to society possible.

Fundación Diagrama’s vision is to be a reference point for quality, commitment, good practice and efficiency in the comprehensive care of vulnerable people and those at risk of social exclusion, working daily towards their full social integration. To achieve this, Fundación Diagrama has developed a comprehensive and specialised intervention model, based on the wellbeing of people and of society as a whole, as well as the continuous improvement of its own processes and resources.

In recognition of its work and trajectory, Fundación Diagrama has Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), and is a member of the Conference of NGOs (CoNGO), an organisation with General Consultative Status with the ECOSOC. The following are among the main objectives of Fundación Diagrama:

  • To promote the development and management of socio-educational and educational centres, services and programmes aimed at vulnerable or socially excluded people.
  • To promote the development and management of centres, services and programmes aimed at preventing situations of social difficulty, as well as assisting and reintegrating vulnerable or socially excluded people.
  • To promote the development and management of health and healthcare centres, services and programmes aimed at providing comprehensive healthcare, especially directed at the elderly and those in need of assistance due to illness or physical/psychological disability.
  • To encourage the creation and management of centres, services and programmes aimed at social and occupational integration and training, specifically focusing on vulnerable or socially excluded people.
  • To promote the development and management of centres, services and programmes aimed at detoxification, rehabilitation, and reintegration of people with addiction issues, as well as preventative activities in this domain.
  • To support and manage development cooperation projects.
  • To carry out research and studies and to produce publications in order to further the understanding of society and its transformation.
  • To support equality of opportunity between men and women.
  • To raise public awareness about current psychosocial and health issues.
  • To support and guide voluntary activities, self-help groups, foster families and other social cooperation measures.
  • To encourage environmental care and protection.

As a non-profit organisation, Fundación Diagrama is subject to certain regulations, in particular Law 50/20002 of the 26th of December, regarding Foundations and their Regulation; as well as Law 49/2002 of the 23rd of December, pertaining to the Fiscal Regulations of Non-Profit Organisations and the Fiscal Incentives of Patronage and its Regulations.

SILTA-VALMENNUSYHDISTYS RY, FINLAND

Ordinary Life – Reaching the Goal Safely Through Doing

Silta is a non-profit association established by non-governmental organisations in Tampere in the year 2001. The primary task of Silta is to increase societal equality, participation and welfare by coaching and helping hard-to-employ people to improve their ability to work and to function, and to find their place in society. The value base on which we execute this primary task and work with their companions and stakeholders for the best of their common clients is defined by our values.

The four values of Silta are:

  • Succeeding together

They have a multiprofessional personnel comprised of personal coaches, work coaches, instructors and teachers. Altogether there are about 70 people working for Silta.

Silta offers various services to improve the vocational and studying abilities of its clients. These services take place in workshop environments in the form of work and meaningful activity. They offer workshops in many fields, vocational upper secondary education, and services for working age people, youth, and substance abuse rehabilitees alike. Housing services are also available for youth and substance abuse rehabilitees.
